My Experience With Bridal Stores
When I started looking in bridal stores for my wedding dress, I found David’s Bridal to be a bit impersonal. The sales staff at each of my three visits seemed to be interested in me only if I was going to make a purchase at that very moment.
When I said I wasn’t sure and wanted to look around, they lost interest in me very quickly. After that horrible experience, I decided to give some of the smaller bridal stores in my area a look.
Smaller Wedding Stores Are Sometimes More Personal
I was happy to find a store that helped me with the smallest detail, and was happy to hold a dress for me for a few days while I made my final decision. In the end, I saved a ton of money on my dress, and had a happy experience with a smaller, privately owned store.

You also have the option of shopping online bridal stores for a wedding dress. This allows you to look for a specific style or theme from the privacy of your home. The only disadvantage of online shopping is that you cannot try the dress on before purchase, and you will have to worry about finding a place to do alterations for you. Rarely will a dress fit you perfectly as is.

No two bridal stores are the same, and you have to find one you feel comfortable going to. You will find you know if you love a store just a few minutes into your visit.
