How can I reuse wedding gown for anniversary party?
My husband and I eloped so we are planning a formal celebration for our anniversary. I still have the dress that he purchased for our wedding as his gift to me. Since we eloped, it was never worn. It is gorgeous, but I will not be wearing it (too bridal and not really my style anymore). I am looking for ways to use the lace (The entire skirt of the gown is beaded embroidered lace.). I would like to use it somehow to tie in the past with the future. Any ideas would be appreciated.

i wish i have more details about the dress shape or a picture so i can give you a better answer but here is what i think:
1-you can alter the dress by using the bottom part of the gown as a skirt and for the top you could wear an elegant top piece(a silk shirt or a tank top…etc), i think about purple or light blue color for the top with stylish accessories (pearls or diamonds)
2-you could wear the entire dress after toning it down, for instance you could take the sleeves out, change the collar shape or change the skirt length, and then you could use some elegant belt with the dress in a flashy bold color (like scarlet, red or pink)
that’s all i could think of for the moment
Wow!!! Your question is very important for which I think you should go online and check this out: http://thestylishwedding.com/articles

you can have it alter.
Well you can alter it but before you do that i want to draw your attention towards something else. This is a gift purchased by your husband with lot of love and affection so i suggest before really altering it you might like to wear it once purly for your husband. You may do it in your house with your husband alone, have a candle light dinner, get some photographs in this dress with your husband. Then afterwards you may get it altered as you wish. Good luck.
