Wedding planners are always referring to lists and notes they've made. Shouldn't you have a wedding checklist too? What a disaster!! The Wedding Timeline   A good wedding checklist will advise you to do it early enough for the order to come in, and to give you plenty of time for alterations. It might tell you to do this six months before the wedding, where as many might wait until three months before and end up with a lot of problems. You should always assume something will go wrong, so too much time is better than cutting it close.   1001 Things To Do   You might also see that a good wedding checklists advises you to do things that you never thought to do.   Did you remember to talk with your DJ or band about music selection? Did you organize what people will do between ceremony and reception? Do you know where everyone should stay as far as hotels? Do you have gift bags for your out of town guests? Did you give your wedding photographer a list of wanted poses?   The wedding checklist should have all of this planning information, and plenty more. Take time to get aquatinted with a few different lists and compare them.   A Few More Items to Check Off when Planning a Wedding   Invitations - One of the first and most important checks in the planning of the wedding is inviting people. Another way to check up on your caterer is to check references. Flowers - Make a real effort to pick flowers that suit your tastes and the theme or style of the rest of the wedding decor. Wedding Favors - Giving a small favor is a great way of saying thank you to your guests for their participation in your special day.   And, this wedding checklist goes on and on which is why it's imperative to have it all written down when you do your initial planning. The bride's day should go without a single hitch (no pun intended) and is meant to be enjoyed and cherished.   Remember, There is no Such Thing as a Simple Wedding   You may think that you are having a simple wedding, and that you might not need a wedding checklist. That simply is not true. You should find one anyway. You can whittle it down to the things you need by going through the list and marking off the things you don’t want to do or don’t have to worry about.   Not only will a good wedding checklist help you remember everything involved with your plans, it will also offer you some peace of mind.
